I offer a continuity of care to support families physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I offer two different packages for support which can be combined if desired. From pre-natal care to labor and childbirth to the first forty days postpartum or longer (rates for longer postpartum care TBD). Postpartum hours can also be booked “a la carte” at $35-$65/hour (Whatcom County- further at cost) and in three or four hour blocks of time.

Culture at large, here in the United States has forgotten/lacks the necessary knowledge that new mothers/birthers, families and babies need to thrive. This lack extends far beyond the nuclear family and into our world. Postpartum care is pivotal to health and well being; it helps nourish the foundation for a new family to flourish. My model of care weaves together a wealth of learning from different teachers to offer a level of care to address your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well being. I am passionate about postpartum care and love to educate, advocate, and help families plan accordingly. My practice is grounded in a de-colonial, anti-racist, gender inclusive and feminist lens. My learning work as well as my personal reparations practice to subvert white supremacy culture is life long and on going.

As a full spectrum doula I support people across the breadth of the childbearing years - from abortion to pre-natal and birth support to loss - from miscarriage to stillbirth. I also offer in person and virtual peer support sessions weaving in my education, work, and life experiences from: public education, academic research, sexuality, grief, communication, relationship styles, feminism, the gendered care gap, co-parenting, folk and clinical herbalism, organic farming and permaculture, the hippie to alt-right pipeline, my training as a community grief ritual tender- to name a few.

NEW as of 2025 I also offer baby wearing education, consultations, and access to a growing library of a variety of baby carriers for you to try.

All of my rates are sliding scale. I am not yet contracted with insurance of any kind. I hope to be in the near future. I aim to provide services to anyone regardless of cost and frequently donate time and resources as a form of mutual aid. I believe doula care is for everyone - please contact me if cost is a barrier.

I look forward to hearing from you!

For the Love of Baby wearing!

Baby wearing has countless benefits to both the wearer and the baby. From emotional regulation to bonding, to practical uses like getting chores done to keep baby or toddler safe while navigating crowds and busy situations.

In 2024 my 3rd and last baby was born and since then I fell deep into the world of baby (now toddler) wearing! While I have worn all of my babies well into toddler hood, I never branched out from beyond a stretchy wrap for the newborn days to a SSC (soft structured carrier) for the rest of our baby wearing journey. However, there are many more carriers and different textiles now to choose from and some carriers/textiles work better for different stages and ages.

From finally mastering the ring sling to learning fancy finishes with woven wraps, I am a baby wearing enthusiast and self taught educator who would love to share with you what I’ve learned.

Schedule a private baby wearing consultation where I bring my carrier collection to you, offer fit checks with carriers you already own, or look for me around the county- occasionally I sub at Whatcom Family Village and have been offering baby wearing education and meets ups there or at local libraries. I also have a TED talk presentation all about baby wearing which I am happy to present to you or your group. Reach out if you’d like to schedule an in home consultation. These sessions make a great gift for newly expecting parents so that when baby comes they feel better prepared and ready to wear!

In home consultations start at $125/hour for local Whatcom County residents up to 30 minutes drive. Please contact me if cost is a barrier.

“Overall, people who received continuous support were more likely to have spontaneous vaginal births and less likely to have any pain medication, epidurals, negative feelings about childbirth, vacuum or forceps-assisted births, and Cesareans. In addition, their labors were shorter by about 40 minutes and their babies were less likely to have low Apgar scores at birth. There is a smaller amount of evidence that doula support in labor can lower postpartum depression in mothers. There is no evidence for negative consequences to continuous labor support.”
